I spent 4 years blogging at St. Udio, and it was time to finish that journey, that space. All you old friends know that.
Know me.
And these past six months since pressing PRIVATE on that little piece of me has been, well, good.
In six months a lot can happen. Some good. Some redundant. Some weird.
Like when I decided to give up coffee for about three days back in May and when my household became vegan somewhere in the dead of winter.
Weird.
I quit cold turkey on the blogosphere, much like I had done with my little love affair with facebook. And as much I wanted fb to be gone forever, it wasn’t meant to be. And thank you Jesus for that. I am reconnecting to the world at large, and maybe that’s not such a bad thing.
“Cause you know I am fascinated with the Amish, but I live in a regular house, on a regular street, in a regular town. And it is in America. Basically, yeah- connections with people other then the, well, 7 I live with can be a good thing.
And so it begins once more. And I tried. Like, really tried, to figure out word press since I was totally over blogger- but after spending 30$ on ‘custom’ I am where I started, still rockin’ the header they gave me.
But, I guess that is what the lovely messy was always about for me.
I will get to a real life grown up header one day, and I will get glasses to drink from that aren’t mason jars one day and I will mop my kitchen floor more than once every 6ish months- one day.
In the in-between I will be lovely. Messy and all.
I’m glad you’re writing again, you’re darn good at it!
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SO glad you are back, friend! Mere moments ago, I totally randomly just googled your blog name to see if anything popped up. Hoping you would rise to the surface once again. And low and behold…here you are!!! And SO weird that you just started back up a few days ago. Strange. Very Strange.
Anywho. Missed you. I have to say, your blog is one I enjoy reading the most. You write well. And you are real. But mostly, I like knowing you are still around and still keeping that cute little head of yours above the water : – )
Well I, for one, am so glad to “hear” your voice again.
And do tell about the vegan thing … we’re mostly vegetarian, except for Oli, who has so few food choices due to allergies & digestive issues that I cannot seem to sacrifice any stable protein for him.
